Methodology: 2026 federal income tax brackets projected from IRS Rev. Proc. 2024-40 with a 2.7% inflation adjustment applied uniformly (consistent with the 2025 inflation factor of 2.7%). Standard deduction: $15,500 single. Social Security: 6.2% on the first $176,100 of gross wages (2026 wage base assumed unchanged from 2025). Medicare: 1.45% on all wages + 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax above $200,000 (single). Does not include state income tax, TSP contributions, FEHB premiums, or pre-tax deductions.
